Trump is not the Messiah

Poison, lies and deceit

Donald Trump is a wicked, evil man, godless and ungodly, a man of venom, vendettas, and vengeance, a man of poison, lies, and deceit.

No one is beyond the love, mercy, and grace of God found in Jesus, the Messiah, and no one is too far from redemption in the world God has made. Yet, for a man who spent the last four years lying pathologically about the 2020 election, his role in January 6, his calculated manipulation of people of faith, his delusions of intimacy with God’s divine will, and his pride and arrogance, it is remarkable that this man has been persistently defended, protected, and upheld by thousands of churches across America, but this standard is never applied to anyone else.

He is beyond criticism, beyond rebuke, and beyond scripture, but many of the people who exalt him share his hatred of foreigners, his delusion about America, and the idolatry of so-called ‘Christian nationalism.’ Trump is their man, their chosen one, their Messiah, but God is a jealous God, and he will not share his position with anyone, not even Donald Trump, who is, for millions, the fourth member of the Trinty, alongside the Father, the Son, and the Spirit.

What is the character of a godly man?

Trump embodies everything that the Bible teaches is an ungodly man. Trump shows no evidence of the fruit of the Spirit, no evidence of a life transformed by Christ, no evidence of a good man, by any standard, Christian, or otherwise.

Only God knows the heart of a person, but we have every right under heaven to speak the truth to power, or do only Democrats sin?  I have a duty to guard the deposit, but for many, they have forfeited their faith, fallen from grace, left Christ, and embraced a kind of Christian fascism.

My faith does not require the approval of political operatives, agendas, or parties.

We all fall short of the glory of God, and all need the grace of God found in Jesus. My problem is not with Trump, for he is an unbeliever, and he is accountable before God for his own sin.

My problem has always been with the fake Christians who run the church today, as they did in the days of Jeremiah the prophet, as they did in the days before the Reformation, as they did in the days of Christ. I am calling out the gutless, cowardly, hypocritical leaders in the Christian church whose list of the ungodly, the unacceptable, and the unchristian is so long it is longer than Mao’s Long March, but these priests, pastors, and ministers are falling over Trump like he is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Trump is not the kind of man I aspire to be. He is not the kind of man any good man would aspire to be. He is the opposite model for young men, in every respect. He is morally and spiritually bankrupt. His use of religious rhetoric is disgraceful, his self-promotion is blasphemous, and this talk of God protecting him for a purpose is delusional.

If God appointed him, then he appointed Biden, and he appointed all political leaders, regardless of their political affiliation. For Christians to link the approval of God to a political party is not only wrong and corrupt theology but it is stupid, childish thinking of a kind not even an imbecile would entertain.

God is not a Trump supporter

The God of heaven is not a Trump voter or a Trump supporter. Jesus doesn’t vote because he is the King of Kings. That is Christianity. As for voting, God doesn’t care. He cares about how we view his Son, and he cares how we live in his world, following Jesus and embracing the kingdom of God.

For centuries, Christians have upheld the ideal of personal morality, accountability, and spirituality as the fruit of union with Christ. For some reason, none of these qualities matter anymore. They have been replaced by political sectarianism, public morality, and secular piety. If a man talks about God in some general sense, opposes abortion, and hates his political opponents, foreigners, and minorities, then he is welcomed by millions of people who used to follow Jesus.

The ‘god’ of America is not the God of heaven

If you are a Christian and you are offended by my characterization of this man, then I do not believe you are one, or you are the victim of a decade of psychological manipulation, fake conspiracy theories, and good old-fashioned corporatized democracy and you fell for it, again. Christ is Lord, not Donald Trump. Trump is not the Messiah.

Trump does not believe in the God of the Bible. He does not believe in Jesus, the Spirit, the Trinity, Yahweh, or Allah, or any of the Hindu deities, or Buddha or the gods of the first nations peoples, or whoever you might worship.

When Trump speaks of God, he is referring to the God of America, a deity of their own creation, a god who works exclusively for America, who is the local, tribal, deity, the god of the soil. Now, we might debate whom we think is the true God, and this is a useful place to start, for most people believe that God, if God exists, is for all people, not just the people of one nation.

However, the real God is not Trump’s God, and it is not the god of the American ruling class. They have created their own deity, ‘in God we trust,’ but it is not Christ, or anyone else to whom all might come.

Only Americans are protected by the god of America, and this means that this god is petty, weak, and pathetic, for as an extension of the soil, this god has no real power, nor can this god compel his children to action or instill in them compassion, for this god does not, in fact, exist, outside of the reimagined national myths.

Now, for years I thought that Christians in America could tell the difference between the god of the soil and the God of revelation, but I was wrong. Many of them have lost their way. They cannot tell the difference anymore. For them, God is pro-American, he loves his chosen people, America, and now, they have their Messiah to take them to the Promised Land by deporting migrants, starting a war with China, dividing the nation, and taxing the poor.

This god is very earthy, very dirty, and very tarnished by the ambitions of men. This god of the soil does not deserve our fealty, our worship, or our time.

Trump, the mythmaker in chief

Trump won because he lied about America and has spent almost a decade promoting several fantastical myths. What are these myths?

The myth of the ‘deep state’

First, the ‘deep state’ myth. It doesn’t exist. Trump is part of it, always was. You were conned. The America state has always been powerful. Without the ‘deep state,’ Americans do not have cheap petroleum and therefore, they will have to walk everywhere.

The State Department, in conjunction with other agencies topple regimes, start revolutions and coups, and support genocide abroad so the middle class can enjoy their prosperity.  This is American capitalism. Making America great again is possible in a capitalist system only if others suffer.

The myth of ‘Pacifist’ Trump

Second, the myth of ‘Pacifist Trump.’ Trump supports genocide in Gaza, he advocates conflict with China and is devoted to the military industrial complex. He never promoted peace while in office the first time and is not a pacifist.

There is no American capitalism without war, without imperialism, and without the doctrine of exceptionalism. It is, I believe a curse of power, and it means America has no future. It will fall, and when it does, there will be a shout of freedom around the world that has not been heard in a thousand years. This is the curse of imperial power.

The only empire to ever really survive history, was Rome, and it became the Roman Catholic Church. The rest goes to dust. Trump is another step forward, not to an eternal American greatness, but to its inevitable demise. Those who crave imperial power are to be pitied and prayed for, because their end will come.

The myth of ‘draining the swamp’

The third myth is ‘draining the swamp.’ Some government departments will be sacrificed to show in some way that Trump has kept his promise, but Trump’s reforms will be superficial bureaucratic restructuring. Project 2025 will make some minor changes to the overall structure of the American state, but aside from rhetoric, the American state will remain intact.

The idea that corruption in the state will be overcome is naïve, since Trump is at the heart of it, and always was. We will see the buying and selling of the office of the Presidency as we did last time, but this is expected, and happens all the time, some might say they are among the perks of office in the White House. Everyone does it.

The myth of communism

The fourth myth is the ‘Spectre of Communism.’ The argument that Harris was a radical far-left socialist was nonsense. Socialism and communism in a capitalist imperialist state is a fairytale.

There is no such thing as the ‘woke agenda,’ only the constitutional extension of rights to minorities who have always existed in the shadows.

There is no such thing as the threat of Cultural Marxism.

These are just the latest fads which come and go every few years, as teachers try to teach children in a capitalist state, one of the wealthiest in the world. Capitalism is pure dynamism and what worked last year is no longer valid. Teachers need help, not antiquated ideas.

The myth of conspiracy theories

Fifth, there is the myth of Conspiracy Theories. There will always be conspiracy theories and many of them are probably true, but they have blossomed in the Trump era. Pro-Trump operatives have promoted them online, all to elect their beloved leader.

The purpose of Trump-era conspiracies is not to reflect upon an event, (e.g. JFK or Covid), but to promote uncertainty, anxiety and division. For every Trump action, activity, and agency, conspiracy theories have arisen to defend him.

But Trump gave us the vaccines, he enabled and initiated the Covid-era policies, he is responsible for Covid Hysteria, he broke the law and was impeached, twice, and he led an insurrection against the state on January 6, and many of his disciples went to prison on his behalf. Trump was responsible for January 6. He incited it, he promoted it, and he celebrated it, and he is, by even the most generous definition, a fascist leader.

Trump is a convicted felon and all around him is mayhem, legal quagmires and allegations of corruption. This means that Trump is a compromised candidate, and can easily be bought, manipulated or controlled.

Why is America troubled?

In Robert Graves, ‘I Claudius,’ the emperor, reflecting on the rise of Nero, said, ‘let all the poisons that lurk in the mud, hatch out.’

Trump is the poison of America’s troubled soul. America is sick, and with Trump, this illness has metastasized, it is malignant, and it has surfaced for the last time.

With Trump, all the bile, the filth, and the rot will rise with him, the corruption of a nation. If America is granted by God another President, their role will be to heal a sick nation, bring people together, and bring everyone home. When Trump leaves the scene, may he take his disciples, his poison, and his dark legacy with him. With Trump gone, may America again stand in the sun once more, in its right mind, finding its own place in the world.

Trump is another word for ‘catastrophe’

Trump is catastrophic for America and the world, his policies are illiterate, ill-informed, and callous. If he does not lead us to WW3 with China, his economic policies will cause mayhem, confusion, and suffering.

His disciples will continue to worship him as a living God, discount, dismiss, and downplay his faults, and invent, imagine, and invoke his virtues. The personality cult of Trump is perhaps as wicked as that around Hitler and Mussolini.

Trump has the rhetoric of Hitler, the self-delusion of Mussolini, and the capriciousness of Al Capone, but at least with Capone, he delivered on his promises of illicit liquor.

Trump is a pathological liar; his promises are hollow, and his legacy will be a series of regrets, retaliations, and regressions. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter who is elected to the White House. The priorities of the American imperialist state will continue, regardless of the personality differences of the person asked to make speeches and represent the American state. Trump, if he is not assassinated, will live life in the White House to the full, pursuing his holy trinity of ‘Me, Myself, and I.’

America is under a crafted delusion

I do not pity America because it is an imperialist state and its future is ruin, destruction, and oblivion. I do pity the millions of Christians who see Trump as God’s chosen one. I did not believe that diabolos would be able to delude the whole world with a lie, as is suggested in 2 Thessalonians 2: 9-12. This was my thinking before Trump.

Now, I see that it was quite easy for one man with his media machine, his operatives, his fear mongering and bigotries to delude a nation.  I have seen it, a lie, a delusion, a self-deception across the world around a person whom millions worship and adore as the living god, their divine Trump, their earthly Savior, their beloved man.

Many Christians have lost their way

Millions of American Christians are so deluded that they cannot tell the difference anymore between the gospel and Trump. They are not the same.

Trump is not God’s instrument, Christ is.

Trump is not the chosen one, Christ is.

Trump is not the vehicle for the proclamation of the gospel, the people of God are.

In his world of hate, Trump’s life is a middle finger to God, and while he covets the support of the church, many have given their hearts to him. As I said, Trump’s soul is between him and God, but as for the church, many of them are the disciples of Satan, corrupt, dead, and godless.

During the Trump era, thousands of once faithful Christian leaders have given themselves over to a man. They are all wealthy, many have worldly power, and they will reap what they sow.  They covet power and they covet wealth, and they build their kingdoms on earth.

All are welcome in God’s kingdom

Thankfully, the kingdom of God doesn’t need the approval of Donald Trump or the spiritual and ecclesiastical disciples who worship him as their chosen one. The road to the kingdom of God goes through the cross of Christ, not the Republican Party or the White house.

Heaven will be full of undocumented migrants

In the kingdom of God, all are welcome, the migrant, the wealthy and the poor, the outcast, the minority, the forgotten and neglected, the hated and the loved, all are welcome, none are turned away by a loving and merciful God.

In heaven, there will be many migrants who Trump calls murderers and rapists, and in heaven there will be many who are ‘woke’ Democrat voters, and not a few Marxists, for all would have come to the cross, seen the Savior hanging there, and found their peace with God because while he was their enemy, God’s Son died for them.

Hell will be full of anti-abortionists

Hell will be full of Trump supporters, the moral, the righteous, those who oppose abortion, those who hate foreigners, those who love America more than God’s people.

They will be the playthings for diabolos and his demons, for Jesus got in the way of their Culture War, Jesus got in the way of their power, Jesus got in the way of their moral crusade.

Christ is Lord

Christ is Lord, not Trump. Christ is the Messiah, Not Trump. Christ is the Chosen one, not Trump. America, beware, pride goes before a fall.

Eternity beckons and dust waits for the empire of dreams.
